N.E.T.

What is NET?

NET (Neuro Emotional Technique) is a specific technique and method of finding and removing neurological and/or meridian aberrations. We call these aberrations Neuro Emotional Complexes (NECs). They are defined as a subjective maladaptation syndrome adopted by the human organism in response to a real or perceived threat to any aspect of its survival. NEC ‘s may be a result of the following:

  • A specific subluxation or sequence of subluxations (misalignment)
  • A specific emotion
  • A meridian Imbalance and active pulse point
  • A facilitated (spasm) or inhibited (weak) muscle
  • An active body point (meridian access point to specific organ)
  • A conditioned response, predisposition for a generalized stimulus, and/or resistance to extinction.

NET is used to help establish and restore homeostasis in the human organism by adjustment of the spine and/or usage of acupuncture points. It utilizes neuro-mechanisms of speech, syntax, location, emotion, acupuncture meridian system, cutaneous (skin surface) reflex points, principles of traditional psychology, and general semantics and chiropractic. It resolves “fixations of emotions within the body.” These fixations make one vulnerable to retriggering underlining conditions relating to the original NEC. It is a structurally-oriented system of dealing with internal and external manifestations of aberrant emotions. The ultimate goal of a successful treatment is an organism which is more neurologically sound.

NET distinguished from PSYCHOTHERAPY

NET is distinguished from psychotherapy in that it is not a direct therapy to the psyche or for “mental healing.” It does not employ counseling, nor advise behavioral changes. It does not have a goal insight for the patient. It is not a “talking cure” nor does it suggest or have a goal of self-regulation. In other words, NET deals with those weakened physiological states. Which in turn increases one’s risk and vulnerability of forming a NEC.
